How we write and review health content
Mr Vitamins has been helping Australians choose vitamins, supplements and natural health products since 1994. This page explains how the health content on our site is produced, who stands behind it, and what standard it is held to.
Who writes and reviews our content
Health content on this site is prepared by the Mr Vitamins editorial team and reviewed by qualified practitioners from our own team: naturopaths, nutritionists and herbalists whose names, qualifications and store locations are listed on our practitioners page. Where a page carries a "Reviewed by" line, that named person has read the page's health content and the date shown is when that review last happened.
Our evidence standard
Specific clinical claims link to their primary sources: peer-reviewed research on PubMed, Cochrane reviews, or Australian government health data. Where evidence is preliminary, such as findings from animal studies, we say so rather than presenting it as settled. Where the evidence is mixed, we say that too.
Compliance
Our content is written to the Australian Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code. Supplements are described in terms of support and maintenance, never treatment, cure or prevention of disease. Nothing on this site is a substitute for personalised advice from your GP, specialist or pharmacist.
