Elyte Hydration

Elyte Hydration is an electrolyte drink powder in sachets, each listing 1000 mg sodium, 500 mg potassium and 60 mg magnesium. One sachet is half the NHMRC's 2,000 mg daily sodium target, so check with your health professional first if you watch your sodium.

Elyte Hydration Information

What is in an Elyte Hydration sachet?

Elyte Hydration is an electrolyte drink powder in single-serve sachets that stir into a bottle of water. Each product listing states 1000 mg of sodium, 500 mg of potassium and 60 mg of magnesium per sachet, from New Zealand sea salt, potassium chloride and magnesium citrate. The flavoured sachets also list citric acid, natural flavours and stevia plant extract. These are the figures printed in the listings, not independent test results. See the Citrus 12 pack for a full listing.

How much sodium is one sachet?

One sachet lists 1000 mg of sodium. The NHMRC sets a Suggested Dietary Target of 2,000 mg a day for adults, with an Adequate Intake of 460 to 920 mg a day, so one sachet is half the daily target and higher than the Adequate Intake range. Two sachets in a day reach the whole target before any food. If you have been advised to watch your sodium or potassium intake, speak to your health professional first, or book a free 10-minute online consultation.

Which flavour and pack size?

There are five flavours, Citrus, Orange Zest, Pineapple, Raspberry Lemonade and Wildberry, each in 12 and 30 sachet packs. There is also an Unflavoured 12 pack and a Variety 30 pack. The amounts per sachet are the same across packs, so pack size comes down to how many sachets you want on hand. The collection also holds one separate item, the Food to Nourish Bliss Bar Choc, a cashew and date snack bar that is not an electrolyte product.
