Doves Farm Information
Who makes these cereals?
Doves Farm describes itself as a family-owned British organic grower, miller and food producer based in Wiltshire, England. Its founders, Clare and Michael Marriage, first sowed seeds in 1977 to make organic flour, and the range now includes organic breakfast cereals under the Freee name.
What are the three cereals?
Supergrain Hoops are toasted multigrain hoops made with brown rice, buckwheat, chickpea, oat, teff and quinoa, sweetened with date syrup and dried rice syrup. Cereal Flakes are crunchy multigrain flakes made with rice and buckwheat, lightly sweetened with cane sugar and dried rice syrup. Corn Flakes are light, golden flakes made from maize. All three are served with milk or a plant drink, and the product pages mark the ingredients as organic.
What should I check on the pack?
Supergrain Hoops contain oats and chickpea. Under Schedule 4 of the Food Standards Code, a food that contains oats cannot carry a gluten free claim in Australia, so the pack is the place to confirm ingredients and allergens for any of these cereals.
