Description
White Wolf Glutamine is 100 per cent pure L-glutamine in a 300 g tub, micronised and unflavoured, with L-glutamine as the only ingredient. Micronising makes the powder finer so it disperses more readily in water, and with no flavour of its own it is easy to add to the drinks you already enjoy. It suits adults who want plain L-glutamine in their routine: mix it into water, or stir it into a pre workout or a protein shake, as directed under Suggested Use.
Product Strengths
- 100 per cent pure L-glutamine, a single ingredient.
- Micronised, so it disperses more readily in water.
- Unflavoured, so it adds easily to a shake or a pre workout.

Glutamine
The amino acid people choose for their gut lining.
Glutamine is a plain amino acid powder. Its strongest trial used 5 grams three times a day for eight weeks, in people with gut trouble that started after an infection.

Is Glutamine right for you?
How the forms compare
Common questions
Does glutamine repair the gut lining?
Partly, and the evidence depends on who you are. One randomised trial in 106 adults with IBS that began after an infection, and a measured leaky gut, found 79.6 per cent responded to 15 grams a day for eight weeks, compared with 5.8 per cent on placebo, and their gut permeability returned to normal. But an analysis pooling 10 trials in 352 people from mixed groups found no overall effect on permeability. The theory is sound, there's one strong trial in a narrow group, and the combined picture shows no effect.
Is glutamine worth taking for training?
Based on the evidence we've seen, no. A review of 47 studies, 25 of them pooled together, concluded glutamine has no effect on athletes' immune function, aerobic performance or body composition. The only significant findings were a 1.36 kilogram drop in weight and a drop in neutrophils at high doses, and neither is a reason to buy it. If recovery is your goal, a protein powder has better evidence.
How much glutamine is too much?
There's no Australian legal limit, so the limits come from the evidence. Up to 30 grams a day has been taken without important side effects, and 12.4 grams a day for 60 days in older adults made no measurable difference to liver enzymes, kidney markers, electrolytes or inflammation markers. Above 200 milligrams per kilo of body weight, an analysis of athlete studies found fewer neutrophils. The safety research also says plainly that long-term use by healthy people hasn't been fully studied.
