Selancy Women

Ultra Nature Selancy Women is a soft capsule with twenty active ingredients: fish omega-3 triglycerides giving DHA 200 mg and EPA 40 mg, iron 24 mg, iodine 167 micrograms, calcium folinate delivering folinic acid 0.5 mg, and a full vitamin and mineral group including vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, the B group, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium. Women take it daily as a broad multivitamin, mineral and omega-3 supplement where dietary intake of these nutrients is inadequate. The pack holds 30 capsules.

Suitable for: Women taking a daily multivitamin, mineral and omega-3 capsule.

Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; vegetarians and vegans, and anyone avoiding fish, gelatin or beeswax, because all three are in this capsule; anyone avoiding soya, because the carrier includes soya oil; anyone managing a thyroid condition, unless a health professional advises it, because each capsule carries iodine 167 micrograms; anyone already taking another selenium supplement; and children, because the capsule contains iron and must be kept out of their reach.

Twenty active ingredients in each soft capsule. The capsule shell is gelatin and the carrier includes soya oil and yellow beeswax, so this product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Excipients: citric acid, gelatin, glycerol, hydrogenated coconut oil, iron oxide black, iron oxide red, lecithin, maltodextrin, mixed (low-alpha type) tocopherols concentrate, purified water, silicon dioxide, sorbitol solution (70 per cent) non-crystallising, soya oil, vanillin, yellow beeswax.

Suggested Use

Adults: take as directed on the label. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Warnings

• This medicine contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150 micrograms for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded.
• Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester.
• This product contains iron. Keep out of reach of children. If overdose occurs, contact a Poisons Information Centre (13 11 26) or a doctor immediately.
• Vitamins and minerals can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate, and should not replace a balanced diet.
• If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.

Adults: Take 1 gel capsule daily with a main meal, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Selancy for Women should ideally be taken at least 4-6 weeks prior to conception, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
