Tints of Nature 8N Natural Light Blonde is a complete permanent home hair colour kit: Colour Gel and Colourfix to mix, a charcoal pre-colour shampoo, shampoo and conditioner sachets, gloves, a developing cap and an instruction leaflet. Shade 8N is a natural toned light blonde, one step below the platinum, for colouring the hair of the head at home. It contains p-Phenylenediamine, and a skin sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours before every colour application, not only the first.

Suitable For / Not Suitable For

Suitable for: Colouring the hair of the head at home, by someone who carried out the skin sensitivity test at least 48 hours beforehand and saw no sign of reaction in the 48 hours that followed.

Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; anyone with a tree nut allergy, because the conditioner sachet contains Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil; anyone who avoids wheat-derived ingredients, because Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is in the Colour Gel, in both shampoo sachets and in the conditioner sachet; anyone who avoids oats or gluten, because Avena Strigosa (Black Oat) Seed Extract is in the shampoo sachet and in the conditioner sachet; anyone who has ever had a reaction to a hair colourant or to a skin sensitivity test; anyone whose skin reacts to the test described below; dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows, because to do so may be injurious to the eye; and any use other than colouring the hair of the head.

Suggested Use

Skin sensitivity test, at least 48 hours before every colour application:

• Wash and dry a small area of skin on the inside of your wrist or on the inside of your elbow.
• Apply a small amount of Colour Gel to your chosen area of skin.
• Allow to dry.
• Leave uncovered or pop an adhesive bandage over the area for two hours. If you see or feel any sign of reaction, redness, soreness, irritation or burning, rinse the area of skin immediately.
• After two hours wash the Colour Gel off your skin and keep an eye out for any sign of reaction as mentioned above for the next 48 hours.

If any sign of reaction occurs, do not use the product. If you do not experience any reaction, you are ready to colour.

Colouring:

• Step 1. Shampoo: use sachet of Charcoal Pre-Colour Shampoo. Towel dry and comb hair.
• Step 2. Apply: put on gloves. Mix Colour Gel into Colour Fix bottle, tighten applicator lid and shake. Apply immediately.
• Step 3. Wait: colour with cap and wait 30 minutes, or 40 minutes for grey hair coverage.
• Step 4. Rinse: lather hair with a little warm water. Rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Shampoo and condition using sachets provided. Rinse and style as usual.

Four things in it are worth knowing all the same. Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is in the Colour Gel, in both shampoo sachets and in the conditioner sachet. Avena Strigosa (Black Oat) Seed Extract, from oats, a cereal containing gluten, is in the shampoo sachet and in the conditioner sachet. The conditioner sachet contains Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, which is a tree nut. Parfum is in the Colour Gel, in both shampoos and in the conditioner.

Storage

Store the kit in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Mix the Colour Gel into the Colourfix only when you are ready to use it and apply it immediately, rather than keeping a mixed bottle.

Suggested dose

Please ensure you have carried out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours before you colour your hair.

1. Shampoo your hair using our Tints of Nature Clarify Shampoo and rinse thoroughly (this is great for resistant grey hair and removing any product or colour build up on your hair).

2. Gently comb through your hair until it is tangle free.

3. Put on the gloves provided. Unscrew both bottles of the Colour Gel & Colourfix and pour the Colour Gel into the Colourfix bottle.

4. Screw the applicator cap firmly back on the Colourfix bottle and shake! Unscrew the tip and use immediately.

5. For best results section your hair and gently squeeze the colour starting at the roots and working it through your hair.

6. Massage the colour into your hair until every strand of hair is covered.

7. Using the plastic cap provided, cover your hair completely, remove your gloves, rinse them clean and wait 30 minutes. (For grey hair coverage or hair lightening make this 40 minutes.)

8. Put the gloves back on and remove your plastic cap. Rinse your hair under warm water until the water runs clear.

9. Using the sachet of Hydrate Shampoo, massage into your hair and work into a creamy lather.

10. Rinse and condition your hair using the sachet of Hydrate Conditioner. Comb through and leave for 5 minutes.

11. Rinse thoroughly and blow dry.
