Collagen Hydrolysate
Collagen that dissolves in a cold drink.
Collagen hydrolysate is collagen cut into short peptides, so it mixes straight into a cold drink instead of setting like jelly. Most people take it for knees that ache after exercise.

Is this the right collagen for you?
Common questions
Is collagen hydrolysate the same thing as collagen peptides?
In practice, yes. Both names describe collagen that's been cut into short peptides with enzymes, and Australian rules list it once, as HYDROLYSED COLLAGEN at item 2624. The different names are about marketing rather than chemistry, so collagen peptides, hydrolysed collagen and collagen hydrolysate are the same kind of powder. Whatever the name, the joint trials behind it are short-term, and the skin research that gets most of the marketing is still debated.
Why doesn't collagen hydrolysate set like gelatine?
It comes down to how far the processing goes. Gelatine is collagen that's been cooked but not cut with enzymes, so its chains are still long enough to tangle and set as they cool. Hydrolysate is cut further, into short peptides, and short peptides can't form that mesh. That's why one thickens a dessert and the other disappears into cold water.
