Description
The Natural Deodorant Stick in Lime Neroli Cedarwood is a solid deodorant in an easy twist up barrel, made for underarm odour. Shea butter and coconut oil form a smooth base with arrowroot flour and kaolin clay, bicarbonate of soda is the odour ingredient, and candelilla wax sets it firm, with lime, neroli and cedarwood for the scent. It is a deodorant rather than an antiperspirant: twist up a little and glide it over clean, dry underarms in the morning.

Suggested Use
Twist the base to raise a little of the stick and glide it over clean, dry underarms. A thin layer is enough.

What is in it is worth knowing all the same. The stick base carries tea tree essential oil and further essential oils that are not itemised, whatever the scent on the label, and those are the parts most likely to bother sensitive skin. Bicarbonate of soda is in it as well.

Warnings
Bicarbonate of soda is alkaline, and under the arm, where skin is warm, covered and often freshly shaved, some people find it irritating. Anyone whose skin does react to it should look at the Sensitive Formula in the same range, which uses magnesium hydroxide.
Do not use it on broken, irritated or freshly shaved skin.
Essential oils are among the commonest skin sensitisers. This one carries tea tree essential oil and other essential oils, so try a small amount on an inconspicuous patch of skin first.
Stop use if redness, itching, stinging or soreness develops, and see your doctor or pharmacist if it does not settle.
Storage
Keep the cap on and stand the stick upright in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. It is a butter and wax base, so it softens in the heat.
