Description
The Natural Deodorant Jar in Lavender & Tea Tree is a smooth deodorant paste, applied by hand or with the spatula supplied, made for underarm odour. Shea butter and coconut oil make the base with arrowroot flour and kaolin clay, bicarbonate of soda is the odour ingredient and candelilla wax firms the paste, with tea tree oil and lavender for the scent. It is a deodorant rather than an antiperspirant: rub a pearl-sized amount under each arm in the morning, just as you would a moisturiser.

Suggested Use
The Natural Deodorant Jar is applied like a moisturiser under your arms. Using the spatula provided or your finger, simply rub a pearl-sized amount under each arm.

What is in it is worth knowing all the same. It contains tea tree oil and further essential oils that are not itemised, and those are the parts most likely to bother sensitive skin. Bicarbonate of soda is in it as well.

Warnings
Bicarbonate of soda is alkaline, and under the arm, where skin is warm, covered and often freshly shaved, some people find it irritating. Anyone whose skin does react to it should look at the Sensitive Formula in the same range, which uses magnesium hydroxide.
Do not use it on broken, irritated or freshly shaved skin.
Essential oils are among the commonest skin sensitisers. This one carries tea tree oil, lavender and other essential oils, so try a small amount on an inconspicuous patch of skin first.
Stop use if redness, itching, stinging or soreness develops, and see your doctor or pharmacist if it does not settle.
Storage
Keep the lid on and store the jar in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. It is a butter and wax base, so it softens in the heat.

- Tea Tree is a powerful natural antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti fungal and anti-viral.
suggested dose
Rub in a pea-size amount either with your finger or using the spatula provided to each underarm after your shower. This should last the day, however if required you can re-apply at any time.
NB: Due to the nature of the coconut oil, the deodorant may soften in hot temperatures and harden slightly in cool temperatures. On extremely hot days we suggest putting the deodorant in the fridge for a few hours. In the cool temperatures you may want to soften the deodorant buy rubbing it into your palm before applying it under your arm. This will in no way hinder the effectiveness of the deodorant.
