Sea Salts
Salt from the sea, full of flavour.
Sea salt is made by evaporating seawater, and tiny traces of other minerals give it its colour and taste. Choose your flake size to suit how you cook.

Is Sea Salts right for you?
Common questions
Is sea salt different from table salt?
Chemically, they're the same thing: sodium chloride. Sea salt is evaporated from seawater and keeps small traces of other minerals, which is where the differences in colour and flavour come from. Table salt is usually mined and refined, and often has iodine added. Under Australian rules, both are sodium chloride, and flake size is what changes how it behaves in cooking.
Does sea salt count as a supplement?
Not usually. Sodium chloride is a permitted listed ingredient with no conditions attached, but sea salt sold for cooking is a food under the Food Standards Code. Bath salts are a different use again. Which rules apply depends on what the product is sold for, not what's in it.
