Springfields Calendula Infused Oil is made by steeping calendula (marigold) flowers in a soy oil base, creating a gentle, nourishing oil. It is a popular choice as a moisturiser for dry or delicate skin.

Is calendula the same as marigold?
Calendula is often called marigold, and its botanical name is Calendula officinalis. That's the name Australian rules use, and it's the one to look for on the pack, so you know which plant you're buying.
Is calendula regulated as a medicine in Australia?
It can be. Calendula is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines, as the dried flower, the flower powder and Calendula officinalis (items 1115 to 1117 on Australia's permitted ingredients list, Schedule 1). None of them has a dose cap or a required warning, and there's no permitted health claim on record for it.
