Description
Spiral Mirin is the sweet rice cooking wine that sits beside soy sauce in every Japanese kitchen. It is brewed from sweet brown rice with rice koji and sea salt, and its approximately 9.4% alcohol is what gives teriyaki its gloss and takes the raw edge off a simmering liquid. Use it in teriyaki glazes, noodle broths, simmered vegetables, dipping sauces and marinades for fish and chicken. It comes in 250 mL and 500 mL bottles.
Product Strengths
- The sweet half of a Japanese seasoning pair, used with soy sauce or tamari in glazes, broths and simmered dishes.
- Gives teriyaki and glazed dishes their shine, which sugar alone will not do.
- Brewed from sweet brown rice with rice koji.
- Rounds out a dipping sauce, a noodle broth or a dressing without making it syrupy.
- Approximately 9.4% alcohol.
- Comes as the 250 mL and the 500 mL bottle.

Nutrition Information
Read the nutrition panel from the pack.
Suggested Use
Use it in a glaze with tamari or soy sauce for fish, chicken or tofu, and let it bubble so the sauce thickens and takes on a shine. Add a splash to a noodle broth, a simmering pot of root vegetables or a bowl of dipping sauce, and use it in dressings where honey or sugar would be too heavy. Follow the directions on the pack.
Storage
Keep the bottle in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and close it firmly after use. Follow the storage and after opening directions on the pack.
Allergens
Check the pack for allergen information. It contains approximately 9.4% alcohol. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
