Description
Sonett Wool Care is a lanolin aftercare treatment in a 300ml bottle that gives washed wool back the grease it needs. Lanolin is the fat that comes off a sheep's fleece, and this product is 15 to 30 per cent of it: dissolved in warm water and soaked into wool, it puts back the grease that washing takes out, which is what makes woollen nappy covers behave the way they are meant to. It is scented with lavandin oil.
Product Strengths
- 15 to 30 per cent lanolin, the key to how it works.
- Puts back the grease that washing takes out of wool.
- For woollen nappy covers and pants, and for wool clothing that has been washed a lot.
- Dissolve in warm water and soak or re-treat woollens after washing.
- Scented with lavandin oil.
- Certified by EcoControl to the Nature Care Product standard for cleaning products.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Re-treating wool, woollen nappy covers and woollen pants after washing, and wool clothing that has lost its handle.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; anyone with a lanolin or wool alcohols allergy, because this product is 15 to 30 per cent lanolin; anyone avoiding animal derived ingredients, because lanolin comes from sheep's wool; anyone sensitive to lavandin oil, which can cause allergic reactions; and anyone looking for a wool detergent, because this is an aftercare treatment and not a wash.

suggested dose
Woollen nappy pants: Dissolve 1–2 tbsp. of Wool Care in hot water and fill up to approx. 1 litre using cold water. Place the moistened woollen nappy pants into the lukewarm solution, wash through several times and leave to soak for about ½ – 1 hour. Rinse in lukewarm water, press out and leave to dry on a towel. Stressed woollen clothing, such as jackets, milled jackets, wool-felt hats, jumpers, etc.: Dissolve ½ teaspoonful of Wool Care in hot water and proceed as described above. Wool Care can also be used in the washing machine. To this end, dissolve ½ teaspoonful of Wool Care in approx. 30–40 ml of hot water and pour the solution into the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine. Ranges of application: For lipid replenishing of highly stressed garments made from wool and silk. Particularly important for babies´ woollen nappy pants which, due to the natural wool-wax content, collect the dampness from the diaper while still remaining permeable to air. If babies’ woollen nappy pants are washed, they lose their naturally occurring wool fat. Regular application of Wool Care replenishes the wool with the wool wax it needs for proper functioning.
