Description
Schuessler Tissue Salts Combination U brings together four of the twelve Schuessler tissue salts, Calc Phos, Calc Fluor, Silica and Nat Phos, in one easy chewable tablet, so you do not need to take them one by one. Each salt is homoeopathically prepared at 6X and present in equal amounts, on a lactose base. Chew the tablets, or crush and dissolve them in a little water if you would rather not chew, and each bottle holds 125 tablets.
Schuessler tissue salts are the twelve mineral salts named by the nineteenth century German physician Wilhelm Schuessler, prepared homoeopathically at a decimal potency. 6X means the mineral has been diluted one part in ten and shaken, six times over. Martin & Pleasance, the South Melbourne company behind the range in Australia, has carried it for well over a century.
It gathers four of the twelve into a single tablet rather than four separate bottles, which is why most people reach for a combination: one thing to take, one thing to remember. The tablets are chewed, or crushed and dissolved in water, and the adult dose is taken half an hour before meals with the last dose at bedtime.

Tissue Salts
What are tissue salts?
Tissue salts are the twelve traditional Schuessler salts, numbered No. 1 to No. 12 and made using homoeopathic methods. Choose a single salt from the traditional system, or a combination of all twelve.

Is Tissue Salts right for you?
How the forms compare
Common questions
Is a Mag Phos tablet the same as a magnesium supplement?
No, and this is the most useful thing to know before you buy. Tissue salts are made at 6X, a repeated dilution, so there's no nutritionally meaningful magnesium left in the tablet. If you want a magnesium dose, choose a magnesium supplement. The two share a mineral name and nothing else.
Does the evidence show tissue salts work?
Not so far. The only trial of a named tissue salt at the strength sold in stores tested Kali Phos 6X against placebo in 86 people and found no evidence of a treatment effect. A large review of reviews found no convincing evidence that homeopathy works beyond placebo. We'd rather tell you that up front.
Are they safe?
From the available data, side effects in homeopathy trials were no more common than in comparison groups. The practical cautions are about the base rather than the active: lactose or sucrose matters if you're avoiding either, and under Australian law, oral magnesium phosphate must not be given to babies under 12 months.
