Description
Amla, also known as Amalaki or Indian Gooseberry (Emblica officinalis), is a fruit deeply rooted in Ayurvedic tradition and prized for its natural Vitamin C content. Pure Indian Foods processes fresh, de-seeded amla fruits using a dehydrator at extremely low temperatures — below 40°C — to carefully preserve delicate nutrients such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E, resulting in a fine-ground, fully water-soluble powder. This versatile powder may be taken internally mixed with warm water, added to teas, smoothies, juices, or soups, or applied externally as a hair or skin treatment.
Key Benefits
- Traditionally used in Ayurvedic practices
- Naturally rich in Vitamin C
- May help support nourishment of the scalp and healthy hair growth
- Suitable for both internal consumption and external topical use
- Fine ground and fully water-soluble for easy mixing
- Processed at extremely low temperatures to help preserve delicate nutrients including Vitamin C and Vitamin E
Product Advantages
- Certified organic amla sourced directly from India
- 100% pure amla fruit powder — no anti-clumping agents or additives
- Dehydrated at below 40°C (104°F) to preserve nutrients — not sun-dried
- Lab tested for heavy metals
- Fine ground and completely water-soluble
Ingredients
Organic Amla Fruit (Emblica officinalis)
Directions for Use
Internal use: Take 1/2 teaspoon mixed with warm water, or add to teas, smoothies, juices, soups, or culinary recipes as desired. To make amla tea: boil 1/2 teaspoon in 240 ml (8 oz) water for 10 minutes, steep for approximately one hour, filter and drink. External use: May be applied topically as a hair mask or skin treatment. Serving size: 1/2 teaspoon. Servings per container: 182.
Cautions
Colour may vary between batches. Any clumps are natural and normal — break up by crushing with the back of a spoon. Not recommended to cook or boil the powder directly, as high heat may destroy delicate nutrients.
