PURE Blackcurrant Recovery is a concentrated powder made from real New Zealand Ben Ard blackcurrants.
- 100% New Zealand blackcurrants
- The equivalent of over 30 blackcurrants in every serving
- 150mg of anthocyanins per serve

- 200g pouch is equivalent to over 1kg of fresh blackcurrants
We use New Zealand blackcurrant berries and freeze-dry them to retain their nutrient profile. We then mill the blackcurrants down to a fine concentrated powder that is full of flavour, vitality and nutrients.

A meta-analysis and systemic review of nine clinical studies have shown New Zealand grown blackcurrants account for a small but significant performance increase when consumed for 7 days (105-210 mg anthocyanins). The specific mechanism is still not completely clear, however, points towards cardiovascular benefits, increased blood flow and oxygen delivery to working muscles, as well as clearance of lactic acid to aid recovery.
We source and use locally grown Ben Ard blackcurrants due to their naturally higher amounts of anthocyanins (a powerful antioxidant) compared to other varieties. This is due to the harsh sunlight in New Zealand and accounts for the deep purple/black colour. The Blackcurrants are freeze-dried to retain the nutrient value and milled into a fine concentrated powder.
