Description
Power Super Foods Beetroot Powder is a single ingredient powder made from whole beetroots that are harvested and dried at the source within 24 hours, then dehydrated at low temperature so the deep red colour and the earthy sweetness survive the process. There are no fillers and no anti-caking agents, which is why it clumps if moisture reaches it. Blend it into smoothies and juices, stir it through yoghurt, dips and soups, or use it in baking, icing and fresh pasta where it does the work of a colouring.
Product Strengths
- Blends into smoothies and fresh juices, and stirs through yoghurt, hummus, dips and soups.
- Gives baking, icing, sauces and fresh pasta a deep natural red without a synthetic colouring.
- Sweet, earthy flavour that works in both sweet and savoury cooking.
- Single ingredient: 100% beetroot, with no fillers and no anti-caking agents.
- Harvested and dried at the source within 24 hours, at low temperature.
- Each 10 g serve provides 87 µg folate, 2.3 g dietary fibre and 261.7 mg potassium.
- Certified organic.

Storage
Store below 25°C. Beetroot powder is sensitive to moisture, so keep it in a cool, dry place or the fridge, always use a dry spoon, stir it regularly and close the lid tightly. The product may harden; to release it, knock the tub on the side of a hard table edge.
Disclaimer
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. This is a food, not a therapeutic good, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Enjoy as part of a varied and balanced diet. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a medical condition, seek advice from a health professional before making a change to your diet.
ingredients
As our pure beetroot contains no anti-caking agents it is prone to clumping. To prevent this, store well sealed in an airtight container in a cool environment, use regularly and give it a loving stir (yes this helps!) and never, ever use a wet spoon.
suggested dose
Beetroot powder has a sweet earthy flavour and adds a vibrant red colour to cooking. Enjoy mixed into smoothies, hot chocolate, added to sweet or savoury dishes such as dips and soups or as a pre or post workout drink to support endurance and recovery.

Beetroot Powder
Earthy, sweet beetroot in a spoonful.
Beetroot powder is the whole root, dried and milled, so you can stir it into a smoothie without cooking a thing. It adds a faint sweetness and a deep red colour to whatever you mix it into.

Is Beetroot Powder right for you?
Common questions
Is beetroot powder the same thing as beetroot juice?
It's the same vegetable, prepared two ways for two jobs. Powder is the whole root dried and milled, so it keeps in the pantry, keeps the root's fibre, and you add the liquid yourself. Juice is pressed and bottled ready to drink, and it's often mixed with apple or other juices to soften the earthy taste. Check the ingredients list on a juice to see how much beetroot is actually in it.
Is beetroot regulated as a medicine in Australia?
It can be. Beetroot (item 784) and Beta vulgaris (item 836) are both on Australia's permitted ingredients list, so beetroot can be used in a listed medicine, with no specific conditions, warnings or dose cap. But we couldn't find a permitted health claim for beetroot, and the beetroot powder most people buy is sold as a food under the Food Standards Code rather than as a medicine.
