Description
Power Super Foods Organic Cacao Nibs are criollo cacao beans that have been fermented, dried, cleaned and cracked so the brittle husk falls away, leaving the crunchy raw nib behind. Nothing is added and nothing is roasted hard, so the nib keeps the deep, bitter, faintly fruity taste of the bean and the smooth texture the criollo variety is known for. Nature's chocolate chips, in other words: use them the way you would use chocolate chips, through muesli, trail mix and cookie batter, over yoghurt and ice cream, or ground in with your coffee beans.
Product Strengths
- Used in place of chocolate chips in cookies, slices, muesli and trail mix.
- Scattered over yoghurt, porridge and ice cream, or ground in with coffee beans.
- Eaten as they are, crunchy and bitter with a faint fruitiness.
- Blended into smoothies, or ground fine and folded through raw dessert bases.
- Certified organic, with cacao as the only ingredient and nothing added.
- Made from the criollo variety, shelled and crushed rather than roasted hard, so they are raw.
- Fairly traded and grown on smallholder farms in South America.
- It comes as the 125 g and the 250 g pack.
