Description
Planet Organic White is a certified organic white tea and nothing else. White tea comes from the same plant as green and black tea, Camellia sinensis, and is the least handled of them: the leaf is withered and dried rather than rolled and oxidised, which is why the cup pours pale and tastes smooth and mellow with very little of the astringency of a black tea. It comes as 25 compostable tea bags with no strings, tags or envelopes. Brew one bag on fresh water at 80 to 90 degrees Celsius for two to three minutes and drink it without milk; it is a true tea, so it contains caffeine and sits naturally in the morning or the early afternoon.
Product Strengths
- Brews a pale, smooth and mellow cup in two to three minutes.
- Takes water off the boil, at 80 to 90 degrees Celsius, rather than fully boiling water.
- Drinks on its own, without milk.
- Contains caffeine, since it is a true tea from Camellia sinensis.
- Certified organic white tea and nothing else.
- Certified organic by Australian Certified Organic, certification number 443.
- 25 compostable tea bags in a recyclable box, sealed in a compostable cellulose freshness wrap.
- Packed in Australia from imported ingredients from selected countries.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: drinking black, with no milk or sugar needed. The only ingredient is the tea leaf, so it suits vegan and vegetarian diets.
Not suitable for: anyone avoiding caffeine.
Suggested Use
Place the tea bag in a cup or teapot and use one bag per person. Use fresh water at 80 to 90 degrees Celsius and infuse for two to three minutes.
For iced tea, brew two bags in 250 mL of hot water and let it cool. For a stronger cup, add a second bag rather than steeping for longer, which is what pulls the bitterness out of a delicate leaf.
Ingredients
- Certified organic white tea.
