Description
Planet Organic Valerian Root Loose Leaf Tea is certified organic valerian root, Valeriana officinalis, cut and dried for brewing and grown for this pack in Poland. The root is the part used and it is a pungent one: the cup is dark, earthy and unmistakably herbal, with a musky note that most people find easier with company, which is why a slice of ginger or a spoon of honey is the usual addition. It is one root, nothing added, and naturally caffeine free. Pour it as an evening cup after dinner, loose in an infuser so you can pull it the moment it is strong enough for you.
Product Strengths
- Pours as an evening cup after dinner, with no caffeine to work around.
- Takes a slice of ginger or a spoon of honey well, which is how most people drink it.
- Loose root rather than a bag, so you can pull it the moment it is strong enough.
- One ingredient, certified organic valerian root, with nothing added.
- Grown in Poland and packed in Coolum, Queensland.
- Sealed in a plant-based cellulose bag that is free of petroleum-based plastics and home compostable.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Vegans and vegetarians, and anyone avoiding caffeine.
Not suitable for: Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, taking prescription medication, managing a medical condition or scheduled for surgery, without first speaking to a healthcare practitioner.
Suggested Use
Boil the kettle and prepare an infuser or teapot. Use 1 teaspoon per 250 mL of hot water, pour the freshly boiled water over the root and brew for 8 to 10 minutes. Steep it longer for a strong cup. Add ginger or honey to round out the flavour, then remove the infuser or pour from the teapot.
Ingredients
- Certified organic valerian root.
