Description
Planet Organic Fennel Seed Loose Leaf Tea is whole certified organic fennel seed, boxed for brewing rather than milled into a spice. The seeds are green gold and finely ridged, and hot water draws a naturally sweet, aniseed scented infusion out of them, pale in the cup and rounder on the palate than mint or chamomile. One teaspoon steeped for five to eight minutes makes the mug most people reach for after a meal, and there is no caffeine in it to work around late in the evening.
Product Strengths
- Brews as a naturally sweet, aniseed scented infusion, pale gold in the cup.
- Drinks after a meal or late in the evening, with no caffeine to work around.
- Crushed and simmered in milk over low heat, the same seed makes a richer, creamier drink.
- One teaspoon of seed per 250 mL mug, steeped five to eight minutes.
- Whole seed rather than ground, so it holds its aroma in the box and gives it up in the pot.
- Certified organic fennel seed and nothing else.
- Certified organic, accredited by Australian Certified Organic.
- Packed in Australia from imported ingredients.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Vegan and vegetarian diets, and anyone avoiding caffeine. The only ingredient is a dried seed.
Not suitable for: Anyone who has been advised by a health professional to avoid fennel.
Suggested Use
Boil the kettle and prepare an infuser or teapot. Use one teaspoon of seed per 250 mL of hot water. Pour freshly boiled water over the seed and brew for five to eight minutes. For a stronger cup, add an extra teaspoon of seed. Remove the infuser, or pour from the teapot. For a richer, creamier drink, simmer crushed seeds in the milk of your choice for ten minutes over low heat.

- Certified organic fennel seed.
