Description
Planet Organic Chamomile Loose Leaf Tea is certified organic chamomile flowers, loose in the box rather than milled into a bag, hand packed in Coolum, Queensland. Brewed, the flowers give a soft golden cup with the honeyed, faintly apple like scent chamomile is named for, and none of the astringency of a leaf tea. One teaspoon in a mug and five to eight minutes is all it asks, and with no caffeine in it, it is the cup most people reach for late in the evening.
Product Strengths
- Brews as one teaspoon in a mug and pours a soft, floral cup in five to eight minutes.
- Drinks in the evening or at the end of the day, with no caffeine to work around.
- Made from the flowers rather than a cut leaf blend, so the aroma is honeyed rather than grassy.
- Goes cold well: ice cubes or a few mint leaves turn it into a summer drink.
- One ingredient only: certified organic chamomile flowers.
- Certified organic by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
- No animal ingredients, so it suits a vegan or vegetarian diet.
- Hand packed in Coolum, Queensland, in a home compostable cellulose inner bag.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Vegan and vegetarian diets; anyone avoiding caffeine.
Not suitable for: Anyone advised by a health professional to avoid this herb.
Suggested Use
Boil the kettle and prepare an infuser or teapot. Use one teaspoon of chamomile flowers per 250 mL of hot water and steep for five to eight minutes, then strain and pour. For a stronger cup, add an extra teaspoon rather than steeping for longer. In summer, add ice cubes or a few mint leaves for a cold drink.
Ingredients
- Certified organic chamomile flowers.
Certified organic chamomile flowers are the whole of it; there is no blended leaf and no added flavouring.
Allergens
No allergens are declared for this pack. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Nutrition Information
Read the nutrition panel from the pack.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal the inner bag after each use so the flowers keep their scent.
