Description
Pine Needle Fusion Tea is a loose leaf herbal blend from Morlife's In2Life range. Korean pine needle (Pinus koraiensis) makes up 12% of the blend and gives it the resinous, forest-floor aroma the tea is named for. Star anise sits alongside it at 12%, adding a warm liquorice note, and honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) at 11% brings a light floral sweetness. Ginger, fennel seed, cinnamon flavour and black pepper extract fill it out, which is why the finished cup tastes closer to a pine scented chai than to a plain herbal infusion. The pouch is 125 g of loose leaf, brewed and strained rather than bagged. Steep two to four grams in a pot for five to ten minutes and drink it black, where the resin and star anise read closer to a pine-scented chai than to a plain herbal cup.
