Description
Owen Mercurius 6C is a homoeopathic preparation of Mercurius solubilis, the mercury preparation long known as quicksilver, made as small pillules on a sucrose base, around 120 to the vial. 6C is a centesimal potency: the source material is diluted one part in a hundred and succussed, or shaken hard, and that step is repeated six times. A handy single remedy for your home remedy kit, it is chosen and repeated on homoeopathic principles, with a home prescribing reference or a homoeopath's guidance.

The pillules are made on a sucrose base.
Suggested Use
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Homoeopathic principles should be applied when using this remedy.
Let the pillules dissolve under the tongue, and hold them in the mouth for several minutes before swallowing. Do not touch the pillules with your hands: roll them into the lid of the vial and tip them under the tongue. Discard any pillule that is dropped rather than returning it to the vial.
Unless doses are very frequent, take a dose half an hour before a meal or between meals; ten minutes before or after food or a drink is also acceptable. Leave at least ten minutes between doses of two different remedies. Do not smoke, brush your teeth, gargle or drink alcohol within half an hour of a dose, and avoid peppermint toothpaste, strong peppermint tea and ordinary coffee, which can antidote a remedy.
A 6C is repeated two to three times a day, and more often where the situation calls for it. Reduce the frequency of doses over time and stop once the remedy is no longer needed. Read the number of pillules per dose from the vial.
Storage
Store the vial away from direct light and heat, and away from strongly scented substances, camphor in particular. Keep remedies away from electrical appliances such as the fridge, television, microwave, clock radio and stereo.
