Orthoplex White is a practitioner-only range from Bio Concepts. This product is supplied to patients who have completed a consultation with us. Use it only under the guidance of your healthcare practitioner and follow the directions they give you.
Orthoplex White P-Balance is a practitioner-only hard capsule combining four herbal extracts, Vitex agnus-castus, Melissa officinalis, Petroselinum crispum and Perilla frutescens, with activated B vitamins, vitamin A as retinol palmitate and quercetin 125mg. It comes as the 30 capsule bottle. Bio Concepts sells P-Balance to the same formula in 30 capsule and 60 capsule packs. P-Balance is the current name for the formula previously sold as ProgestaLift. Bio Concepts positions P-Balance for women through the second half of the menstrual cycle, and chaste tree is the herb the formula is built around.
Product Strengths
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve the symptoms of premenstrual tension.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to maintain and regulate a healthy menstrual cycle.
- Extract and herb equivalents stated separately: Vitex agnus-castus fruit extract dry concentrate 100mg equals 1g of dry fruit, and Melissa officinalis leaf extract dry concentrate 120mg equals 1.2g of dry leaf. The extract weight and the dry herb equivalent are different numbers.
- Activated B vitamins: Vitamin B2 as riboflavin sodium phosphate 25mg, equivalent to riboflavin 19mg, and vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate monohydrate 50mg, equivalent to pyridoxine 31.9mg.
- Quercetin and vitamin A: Quercetin 125mg per capsule, plus retinol palmitate 1.37mg, equivalent to vitamin A 750 micrograms retinol equivalents.
- 30 hard capsules: One capsule daily, so this pack covers 30 days at the labelled dose.

Manufacturing excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, disodium edetate, gellan gum, hypromellose, leucine, potable water, potassium acetate. Incidental excipients: acacia, dl-alpha-tocopherol, maize starch, maltodextrin, sucrose.
Allergens
Bio Concepts states it is gluten free, dairy free, soy protein free and sulfites free, and lists it as suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The capsule shell is hypromellose, a plant-derived material, not gelatin. Maize starch and sucrose are declared as incidental excipients. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. When taken in excess of 3,000 micrograms retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects. The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 micrograms retinol equivalents for women and 900 micrograms retinol equivalents for men. Vitex agnus-castus may affect hormones in the body and may interact with prescription medicines such as oral contraceptives. Consult your health professional before use. Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant. Stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible. Contains vitamin B6. Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.

Adults: take 1 capsule daily, or as recommended by your registered healthcare practitioner.
