Naturtint Root Retouch Creme in Dark Blonde Shades is a small permanent colour kit for regrowth only, made to carry you between full applications. You mix the colourant with the developer in the bowl provided and paint it onto the roots with the brush, so the new growth is brought back in line with the rest of your colour without re-colouring the lengths. Naturtint matches this shade to its permanent colours 6N, 6G, 6.7, 7N and 7G. It is important to be clear about what this is: despite the small pack and the quick application, it is a genuine oxidative permanent hair colourant with a hydrogen peroxide developer, and the mandatory hair colourant warnings below apply in full, including the 48 hour skin allergy test before every single use.

How to Use

• Carry out the 48 hour skin allergy test first, every time, using the method in the instruction leaflet. This applies to the retouch just as it does to a full permanent colour.
• Put on the gloves supplied and protect your hairline, ears and clothing.
• Squeeze equal parts of the colourant and the developer into the mixing bowl supplied and blend with the applicator brush.
• Paint the mixture onto the regrowth at the roots and the partings only. This is a root product and is not intended to be worked through the lengths.
• Leave to develop for the time given in the instruction leaflet supplied with the pack. Confirm the development time and full directions from the product label.
• Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, then apply the Protective Conditioner sachet and rinse again.
• Use the retouch two to three weeks after a full permanent colour, to stretch the time between full applications.

Please read this before you buy. Root Retouch Creme is a permanent oxidative hair colour, not a pigment spray or a wash-in tint. The colourant is mixed with a hydrogen peroxide developer and the dye is formed inside the hair shaft. Its dye base is toluene-2,5-diamine sulfate rather than p-Phenylenediamine, and it also contains N,N-Bis (2-Hydroxyethyl)-p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate and p-Aminophenol. These are hair dye allergens in the same family as PPD and people sensitised to one can react to another, so the full hair colourant warnings below apply to this root retouch exactly as they do to a full permanent colour. The range is free from ammonia, resorcinol, parabens and SLS; note that the free-from claim is about resorcinol itself, and the formula does contain the resorcinol derivatives 4-chlororesorcinol and 2-methylresorcinol. The Protective Conditioner contains hydrolysed wheat protein, which matters if you have a wheat allergy, and parfum with limonene. Always review label for full list of ingredients.

Warnings

Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Read and follow the instruction leaflet inside the box carefully. This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16. Temporary "black henna" tattoos may increase your risk of allergy.

Do not colour your hair if:

• You have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp,.
• You have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair,.
• You have experienced a reaction to a temporary "black henna" tattoo in the past.

Contains phenylenediamines and hydrogen peroxide. A skin test should always be carried out 48 hours before the use of any hair dye, even if you have used it before. The skin allergy test must be repeated before every single application, following the leaflet exactly. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows. This may cause blindness. The product must not be used to colour eyebrows, eyelashes, beards or moustaches, and must not be used on other parts of the body. Wear suitable gloves, which are supplied in the pack, throughout mixing and application. Rinse immediately with plenty of water if the product enters the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Naturtint advises that its colourants are not recommended during chemotherapy, and that anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should speak to their doctor before colouring.
