Description
Naturtint 6.7 Dark Chocolate Blonde is a permanent home hair colour that gives a deep, cool chocolate-toned dark blonde and is designed to cover grey. It is an oxidative colourant, so the colourant bottle is mixed with a peroxide developer and the shade forms inside the hair shaft, growing out rather than washing out. The formula is made without ammonia and includes meadowfoam seed oil and hydrolysed vegetable protein, but it is a conventional oxidation dye and the current Australian ingredient list for this shade includes p-Phenylenediamine. The storefront lists this pack at 170 mL.
Product Strengths
- Colours the hair permanently in a cool chocolate-toned dark blonde.
- Applied at home with the developer supplied, then rinsed and conditioned.
- Dark blonde base at level 6 with a brown or chocolate reflect, giving a cooler, less brassy result than a gold or copper tone.
- Permanent oxidative colour, so the shade is developed inside the hair shaft and grows out rather than washing away.
- Formulated without ammonia, and it carries a shade specific ingredient list rather than a single list for the whole range.
- Complete home kit containing the colourant, the developer in an applicator bottle, a conditioning treatment, protective gloves and an instruction leaflet.
- The range contains no animal derived ingredients and is not tested on animals, so it is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Vegans and vegetarians; Those seeking a naturally derived option.
Not suitable for: Pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless advised by a health professional.
How to Use
- Carry out the 48 hour skin allergy test first, every time, using the method in the instruction leaflet. A colour strand test is also recommended to preview the tone.
- Mix the colourant and the developer in a 1:1 ratio. Follow the development time in the instruction leaflet supplied with the pack, because development times differ between markets.
- Start on dry, unwashed hair. Put on the gloves supplied and protect your hairline, ears and clothing.
- Pour the whole contents of the colourant bottle into the developer bottle and shake well for about two minutes until fully blended.
- Apply to the roots first using the applicator tip, then work the remaining mixture evenly through the lengths.
- Leave to develop for the time given in the instruction leaflet supplied with the pack. Confirm the development time and full directions from the product label.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water, massaging gently, until the water runs completely clear.
- Apply the conditioning treatment included in the pack, leave for a few minutes, then rinse well.
- Naturtint advises against choosing a shade more than two levels lighter than your current colour.
