Description
Natures Own Vitamin B2 100mg is a single vitamin tablet carrying 100 mg of riboflavine, the B vitamin the body uses as a coenzyme in the reactions that release energy from food. As a plain one ingredient tablet rather than a complex, it is the one to reach for when riboflavine is all you want to add. It supports energy levels, helps carbohydrate and protein metabolism, and helps reduce the occurrence of mild migraines, with a separate higher dose for that purpose.

Vitamin B2
What is vitamin B2?
Vitamin B2 is riboflavin, available on its own or in almost every B complex. Most tablets use plain riboflavin, and a few use riboflavin sodium phosphate, which dissolves more easily in water.

Is Vitamin B2 right for you?
Common questions
How much vitamin B2 do you need a day?
Australia's Nutrient Reference Values set 1.3 mg a day for adult men and 1.1 mg for adult women, rising to 1.6 mg for men and 1.3 mg for women over 70. It's 1.4 mg in pregnancy and 1.6 mg while breastfeeding. No upper limit has been set. If you want all the B vitamins, not just this one, a B complex is the simpler choice. What you need depends on your age, diet and health, so talk to one of our naturopaths.
Why does vitamin B2 turn my urine bright yellow?
That's the riboflavin. It's strongly coloured and dissolves in water, so whatever your body doesn't use comes out in your urine. It's expected with a plain B2 tablet, and with any B complex or multivitamin that contains B2.
