Description
What is it?
Maitake extracted into a liquid form so your body can absorb it quickly and consistently.
A functional mushroom, Maitake is valued for its metabolic and immune-supporting effects.
In the 1980s, Japanese scientists discovered the D-fraction, a polysaccharide complex shown to activate immune cells and support healthy blood sugar regulation.
Ongoing research explores Maitake’s potential in maintaining metabolic balance and improving insulin sensitivity.
What may It do?
Maitake supports metabolic balance, particularly glucose regulation, insulin sensitivity, and immune activation.
Think of it as the mushroom that keeps the system steady: fuelling consistency, not extremes.
Immediately (first few days)
Some people feel more even-keeled, fewer sugar crashes, less afternoon fatigue, better appetite control. Inside the body, Maitake’s polysaccharides begin interacting with insulin receptors and immune cells, improving how your body responds to nutrients.
After a few weeks
Regular use can enhance energy stability and metabolic rhythm. Clinical studies show Maitake’s D-fraction may help balance blood glucose and support healthy immune function over 6–8 weeks of use. It’s subtle but accumulative: steadier mood, smoother digestion, fewer peaks and troughs.
Over months of consistent use
Maitake continues to strengthen metabolic pathways, improving how carbohydrates and fats are processed. Users often describe long-lasting energy and better resilience to daily stress. Over time, this translates into a more stable baseline, the kind of equilibrium you can feel.
A note on the science
Maitake’s activity stems from complex beta-glucan structures known as D- and SX-fractions. MYCRO’s fractional extraction keeps these intact while including secondary phenolics and sterols that naturally complement them, maintaining the mushroom’s full metabolic synergy.
How it is grown?
Maitake, also known as “Hen of the Woods” is cultivated our Western Australian farm, under the guidance of George Stone.
This complex species grows in overlapping clusters that mirror the layered ecosystems of the forest floor. Stable airflow, humidity, and light are carefully managed to reproduce the natural rhythm of growth and decay that defines its life cycle.
We use a sterilised substrate of Australian hardwood sawdust and lupin hulls to replicate its native woodland conditions, where Maitake feeds on decomposing tree roots, part of nature’s endless recycling of life into life.
Incubation takes 4–6 weeks, during which the mycelium colonises fully before being exposed to light and fresh air to trigger fruiting. Temperature shifts and oxygen flow are tuned precisely to form the dense, frilled clusters that mark peak beta-glucan concentration, the hallmark of one of this superfood.
ingredients
Maitake mushroom (Grifola frondosa)
Apple cider vinegar (certified organic)
Dual-extracted then alcohol removed.
suggested dose
As the morning unfolds, shake your Maitake bottle and watch the sediment rise, a swirl of earth and energy coming to life.
Draw up one millilitre into the dropper, the liquid catching the soft light that filters through the kitchen.
Add it to a glass of water, an hour before the first sip of coffee.
The extract disperses slowly, tinting the water with a faint warmth. An unhurried beginning to the day.
Drink it in steady gulps. Let it move through you before the world asks for your attention.
The steadiness of Maitake works quietly: fuelling focus, metabolism, and rhythm long after the glass is empty.
