Description
Chia seeds originate from South America and have been used as a food for thousands of years by the Mayans and Aztecs. Recently chia seeds have been labelled a complete super food as they are one of the richest plant sources of Omega 3, dietary fibre and protein. These nutrient dense seeds also contain a wide range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids and fatty acids.

Recommended daily intake: Per 15g serve
- Sprinkle over cereal or porridge
- Add to fruit and yoghurt
- Mix into smoothies and juices – will make the drink thicken
- Use to thicken sauces or casseroles
- Mix into baking – muffins, slices etc
- Mix into salad dressings – will naturally thicken them
- Add 1 tablespoon to a glass of water - the seeds will swell and form a gel like substance.
