Description
Mindful Foods Cornflower is the blue petal of the true cornflower, Centaurea cyanus, grown in Germany. The whole plant is picked once the blossoms have opened and dried intact, which is what holds the colour in the flower; the stems come off after drying, leaving only the fine tubular petals that go in the jar. There is nothing else in it and no additives. Brew the petals on their own or stir them through a tea blend, and scatter them dry over cakes, desserts, salads and drinks wherever you want a clear blue against pale food.
Product Strengths
- Brews on its own, or blends into chamomile, lavender, rose petal or peppermint for a floral infusion.
- Scatters over cakes, biscuits, pastries, chocolates, desserts, smoothie bowls, salads and grazing boards as an edible garnish.
- Floats in cocktails and mocktails, and colours infused syrups and botanical drinks.
- Blue petals of Centaurea cyanus, cultivated and dried in Germany.
- Organic, and 100% cornflower petal with no additives, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
- Comes in a reusable glass jar.
