Metagenics Pregnancy Care Advanced is a practitioner-only medicine. It is intended to be used on the advice of a qualified healthcare practitioner, who will decide whether it is appropriate for you and at what dose.
Metagenics Pregnancy Care Advanced is a film-coated multivitamin and mineral tablet formulated for preconception, pregnancy and lactation. It supplies activated B vitamins, folate in two forms, iodine, vitamin K2 as menaquinone 7, choline, lutein and minerals in amino acid chelate form. It comes as the 60 tablet bottle, which is a thirty day supply at the labelled dose of one tablet twice daily.

- Helps prevent neural tube defects such as spina bifida when taken at least four weeks before conception and during the first trimester of pregnancy.

- Vitamin B6 supplied both as pyridoxal 5-phosphate and as pyridoxine hydrochloride, and vitamin B12 as mecobalamin.
- Iodine at 149.5 micrograms per tablet, from potassium iodide.
- Iron and zinc as Meta Fe and Meta Zn bisglycinate amino acid chelates, at 12 mg and 10 mg of the element respectively.
- Includes choline, lutein, beta-carotene and vitamin K2 as menaquinone 7, which a standard prenatal tablet often leaves out.

Suggested Use
Take 1 tablet twice daily with food for at least one month before conception, during pregnancy and lactation, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not exceed the stated dose except on medical advice.
Allergens
The formula is free from dairy protein, lactose, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, yeast, soy protein and salt, and free from artificial colours, sweeteners, flavours and preservatives. It is not declared free from animal products, so it should not be assumed suitable for vegans or vegetarians. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Warnings
Contains iron. Keep out of reach of children. Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester. This product contains selenium, which is toxic in high doses; a daily dose of 150 micrograms of selenium for adults from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. When trying to conceive and during the first trimester of pregnancy, folic acid helps to prevent neural tube defects such as spina bifida and anencephaly. Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Do not exceed the stated dose except on medical advice.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed and keep out of reach of children.
