Description
Melrose Australian Flaxseed Oil is a 200 mL bottle of cold pressed oil made from flaxseed grown in Australia, at Melrose's own farm at Hamilton in Victoria. It is a single ingredient oil with a creamy, nutty and slightly bitter taste, and the panel puts 10 g of the plant omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid in a 20 mL serve. Melrose put the first bottle of flaxseed oil on the Australian market in 1984.
Product Strengths
- One ingredient, 100 per cent Australian flaxseed oil.
- 10 g of omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid and 2.8 g of omega-6 linoleic acid in each 20 mL serve, from the label panel.
- Cold pressed, with no chemicals or solvents used in the pressing.
- Flaxseed grown in Australia, and the bottle carries the Product of Australia mark.
- Fine filtered by Melrose to remove naturally occurring substances that contribute to spoilage.
- A plant source of omega-3, so it suits a vegan or vegetarian diet where fish oil does not.
- Vegan, kosher certified, gluten free and GM free on the label.
- Contains no artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours or preservatives.
- Amber glass bottle in a carton, which is how the label asks you to keep it.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Those avoiding gluten; Everyday snacking and meals.

Ingredients
- 100 per cent Australian flaxseed oil.
