Description
Macro Mike Premium Almond Protein is a smooth plant protein powder built on almond protein and faba bean protein, with coconut milk powder for a lovely milkshake texture, a Panmol B vitamin complex from sprouted quinoa and a probiotic, sweetened with monk fruit and thaumatin. It is the nut based alternative to a whey shake, in sachets, sample packs and 400 g and 800 g bags. Mix a 40 g scoop with water or plant milk after training, or add it to a smoothie.

- A shake for after a training session, and a scoop that also goes into smoothies, oats and breakfast cereal.
- Mixes into 230 to 250 mL of water or plant milk for a smooth, milkshake style drink.
- 21.0 g to 23.7 g of protein in a 40 g serve, depending on the flavour.

Deluxe Chocolate, Chocolate Hazelnut and Choc Honeycomb add raw cacao, and Chocolate Caramel adds cocoa powder. Golden Gaytime is the exception: Almond Protein, Faba Bean Protein, Natural Flavours, Coconut Milk Powder, Himalayan Rock Salt, Natural Colour (Burnt Caramel), Guar Gum, Natural Sweetener (Thaumatin), with no coconut nectar, no Panmol B-Complex and no probiotic. Where coconut nectar is used it is an added sugar, and the panel counts it at 2.8 g to 3.7 g of sugars a serve.

Suggested Use

Common questions
What's the difference between almond meal and almond flour?
Meal is usually ground with the skins left on, so it's coarser and flecked brown. Flour is normally made from blanched almonds with the skins removed, so it's finer and paler. Recipes often use the names interchangeably, and either works in most baking. Check the pack if the colour or texture of the finished thing matters to you.
Are almonds regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Almond is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines, as item 476 of the Permissible Ingredients Determination, where it's used as an excipient. But almonds sold as food, whole, meal, butter, oil or milk, sit under food standards law instead, not the medicines framework. No almond-specific permitted indication was found.
