Description
Tamari is the Japanese-style soy sauce that comes from the liquid drawn off fermenting soy bean miso, and it is brewed with little or no wheat. That difference shows up in the bottle: Lotus Organic Tamari pours darker than an everyday soy sauce, tastes rounder and more savoury, and reads as less sharply salty on the tongue, so it seasons a dish rather than dominating it. It is supplied in a 500ml glass bottle and packed in Australia from imported ingredients.
Product Strengths
- Season a dish with it in place of an everyday soy sauce.
- Brewed in the tamari style, made without wheat.
- Darker colour and a rounder, richer flavour than standard soy sauce.
- Short ingredient list built on water, organic soy beans and salt.
- 500ml glass bottle.
- Plant based, so it suits vegan and vegetarian cooking.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Those avoiding gluten; Vegans and vegetarians; Everyday snacking and meals.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; Anyone avoiding soy.
How to Use
Use as a dipping sauce for sushi, dumplings and rice paper rolls, as the salty backbone of a dressing or marinade, or stirred through stir fries, soups, braises and noodle broths.
