Lotus Organic Besan Flour is milled chickpea flour, packed in Australia in a 500 g resealable oxygen barrier bag. Besan is a staple of Indian cooking, used for pakora and bhaji batters, and it also works as a binder in koftas, burgers and loaves. It has a nutty flavour and an egg-like taste and texture when cooked gently, which is why it is often used as a vegan egg replacement.
