Description
Lotus Almond Meal is ground blanched almond kernels and nothing else. It comes as two pack sizes, a 125 g bag and a 600 g bag, both in resealable oxygen barrier bags. Because the skins are removed before grinding, the meal is pale and mild, and it works as a naturally gluten free stand-in for flour that also adds moisture and a rich, nutty flavour.
Product Strengths
- Use it as a crumb for fish and chicken in place of breadcrumbs.
- Single ingredient: ground blanched almond kernels, with nothing added.
- Naturally gluten free and grain free, so it suits gluten free baking.
- A source of protein and a source of fibre, and naturally high in monounsaturated fat.
- Adds moisture to cakes, pastries, pies and macaroons, so recipes often need less added fat.
- The 125 g pack is produced in Australia from 100% Australian ingredients.
