'Brazil nuts are incredibly versatile in the kitchen. Blend them with herbs, garlic and olive oil to create a nutrient rich pesto or chop them into muffins, granola and protein bars to add texture and a selenium boost.'

Description
Live More You Activated Brazil is a 100 g resealable pouch of whole brazil nuts that have been activated. Activating is a two-step process: the raw brazil nuts are soaked in water for an extended period, then slowly dried at low temperature until they are crisp again. Nothing is roasted and nothing is added but a little salt used during the soak. The result is a brazil nut with a dry, crunchy bite and a clean, mild flavour. Eat them as they are, chop them over a bowl of yoghurt or porridge, or blend them into a nut milk.
Product Strengths
- Chop them through a salad, a slice or a granola.
- Activated, not roasted: Long soaking followed by slow low-temperature dehydration, so the brazil nuts stay crisp without being roasted or oiled.
- Whole brazil nuts, nothing else: Brazil nuts plus Himalayan salt used during activation, with no oils, sugars, coatings or flavourings.
- Tree nut allergen declared: Brazil nut is a declarable tree nut, named in its own allergen statement on the pack.
- Large, buttery kernels: Brazil nuts are among the biggest nut kernels sold whole, with a rich, creamy texture that activation keeps crisp.
- Resealable pouch: A 100 g stand-up pouch with a zip closure, so the pack can be resealed after opening.
- Easy to portion: A 100 g pouch, an easy size to keep in a bag or a desk drawer.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Everyday snacking and meals.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; Anyone with a nut allergy; Anyone avoiding sesame.
Ingredients
- Activated brazil nuts.
- Himalayan salt, used during activation.
The nutrition information panel is printed on the back of the pack.
Allergens
Contains brazil nuts. Brazil nut is a tree nut and must be declared as an allergen under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. It is not suitable for anyone with a tree nut allergy. The pack also carries the precautionary statement "May contain traces of other tree nuts, peanuts and sesame", which means the brazil nuts are handled in a facility that also handles those foods. Precautionary statements of this kind are voluntary and are not regulated by the Food Standards Code, so anyone managing a nut, peanut or sesame allergy should treat it as a real risk. Whole nuts are also a choking hazard for young children. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
