Lakewood Pure Black Cherry Juice is a single-fruit juice of black (dark sweet) cherries from Lakewood's Premium line, in a 946 mL glass bottle. There is just one ingredient, black (dark sweet) cherry juice. Give the bottle a shake before pouring, as natural juice settles, keep it in the fridge once it is open, and enjoy it within two weeks.

Black cherry is used for its deep, dark flavour, in three ways here. Choose pure black cherry juice to drink, a vinegar for dressings and marinades, or chocolate where black cherry is there purely for the taste.

The Australian rules

Black cherry has no entry of its own on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1, Determination No. 2 of 2026). Cherry has its own entry, item 1336, allowed in listed medicines with no special conditions or warnings. The two species cherry products usually come from are also listed: sour cherry, Prunus cerasus, item 4193, and sweet cherry, Prunus avium, item 4191. Both are allowed with conditions that cap their natural amygdalin and hydrocyanic acid content. We found no approved health claim for cherry. Black cherry juice, vinegar and chocolate are sold as foods under the Food Standards Code, so they don't need a TGA listing. Not having its own entry isn't a ban.
