Description
Honest to Goodness Organic Green Split Peas are green field peas with the husk removed, then split in half. They cook down soft and break apart as they go, which is exactly what you want in a thick winter soup, and they carry a mild, earthy flavour that is a little deeper than the whole dried pea. It comes as the 500 g bag. Simmer them into a thick pea and ham soup or a dhal, where they collapse and thicken the pot without any added starch, or blend the cooked peas into a dip.
Product Strengths
- Use them in place of red lentils where a deeper, earthier flavour suits.
- Certified organic. Honest to Goodness is certified by ACO (Australian Certified Organic).
- One ingredient, with no preservatives and no additives.
- Break down as they cook, which thickens soups and stews without any added starch.
- A versatile plant based staple that also makes dips, spreads and dhal.
- Plant based, so they suit vegan and vegetarian eating.
