Description
Honest to Goodness Organic French Style Green Lentils are small, slate-green, lens-shaped seeds with a mild, peppery, earthy flavour. What sets them apart from ordinary green or brown lentils is that they keep their shape and bite after cooking rather than collapsing, which makes them the lentil of choice for salads, pilafs and anything you want to look like separate lentils on the plate. It comes as two pack sizes, 500 g and 1.5 kg. Simmer them for twenty to thirty minutes without soaking and dress them while warm for a salad, or fold them through a pilaf or a braise where you want the lentils to stay separate on the plate.
Product Strengths
- Use them in place of mince in a ragu, a shepherd's pie or a burger patty.
- Certified organic. Honest to Goodness is certified by ACO (Australian Certified Organic).
- Hold their shape once cooked, so they suit salads and pilafs as well as soups.
- Quick cooking, at roughly 20 to 30 minutes, with no soaking needed.
- A plant based staple, with nothing added and no preservatives.
- Sold in a 500 g bag and a 1.5 kg bag.
