Herbs of Gold Wormwood Clear (formerly ParaStrike) is a comprehensive worming formula based on the traditional use of Wormwood and Black walnut in Western herbal medicine. It combines high-strength Wormwood with Black walnut, Barberry, Oregano and Thyme in easy-to-take tablets suitable for adults and children.

Common questions
What's wormwood called on an Australian label?
Usually Artemisia absinthium. The Australian rules list wormwood only by its botanical name, as item 688 of the Permissible Ingredients Determination. Wormwood on the front of the pack and Artemisia absinthium on the back are the same plant. That listing sets the thujone limit and the pregnancy warning, so it's the name to look for on the back of the pack.
Is wormwood the same as sweet wormwood?
No. Wormwood is Artemisia absinthium. Sweet wormwood is Artemisia annua, a different species in the same plant family, and the Australian rules list it separately with its own conditions. None of wormwood's item 688 conditions apply to it, so check the botanical name on the label to see which one you've got.
Why does a wormwood label carry a pregnancy warning?
Because the Australian rules require it. Item 688 of the Permissible Ingredients Determination says any medicine containing Artemisia absinthium must carry the warning 'Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant.' The same listing requires thujone, one of the compounds in the herb, to be declared, and caps it at 4% of the medicine.
