Description
The Hello Average Cervix Cup in Medium is a reusable menstrual cup moulded from medical grade TPE in Blue. The Average Cervix shape is the original Hello body, with a toggle stem and grip rings at the base so it is easy to take hold of when you remove it. This size holds 21 mL and measures 41 mm across the rim and 59 mm in length. Wear it in place of tampons or pads, emptying, rinsing and reinserting it at least every 12 hours.
Product Strengths
- Reusable, cycle after cycle, in place of tampons or pads.
- Moulded from medical grade TPE.
- Capacity 21 mL. Rim diameter 41 mm. Length 59 mm.
- Toggle stem and grip rings at the base for an easy hold on removal.
- Wear for up to 12 hours at a time.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Anyone managing a period who wants a reusable internal cup. The Medium is the one size fits most cup, suggested for users under 35, whether or not they have had children. Choose the size on the measured capacity and rim diameter rather than on age.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; anyone who cannot keep to the 12 hour maximum wear time set out in the warnings; and anyone who has had Toxic Shock Syndrome, or who is unsure whether an internal menstrual product suits them, without first speaking to a doctor.
Ingredients
Material: medical grade TPE (thermoplastic elastomer).
There is no INCI list, because this is a moulded article rather than a formulation.
Suggested Use
Wash your hands, then fold the cup and insert it. Rotate it, or run a finger around the base, to check that it has opened and sealed. To remove it, wash your hands, pinch the base to release the seal and ease it out. Empty it, rinse it and reinsert it, at least every 12 hours. Sterilise before the first use and at the end of each cycle: boil the cup or disc for three minutes, or soak it for 15 minutes in water with a quarter of a sterilising tablet, or use a Hello steam steriliser.
Warnings
- IMPORTANT: Menstrual cups have been associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). TSS is a rare but serious disease that may cause death. Read and keep the enclosed information.
- Ensure you do not leave your cup or disc in for more than 12 hours to keep yourself safe. Empty, rinse and reinsert at least every 12 hours.
- This product is not supplied sterile. Sterilise it before the first use and again at the end of each cycle.
- Wash your hands before insertion and before removal, and keep the product clean between uses.
- If you have had Toxic Shock Syndrome, or you are unsure whether an internal menstrual product suits you, speak to a doctor before use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Wash and dry the cup after each cycle and store it clean and dry in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Replace it straight away if it shows wear or cracks. Keep out of reach of children.
Disclaimer
This product is worn inside the body. Always read the enclosed information leaflet and follow the manufacturer's instructions for insertion, removal, cleaning and maximum wear time. If you have any concerns, talk to your health professional.
