Healthy Care Squalene 1000mg is an Australian-made listed medicine supplying 1 g of squalene in each soft capsule. Squalene is a lipid that occurs naturally in human sebum and in the livers of deep-sea sharks, and the squalene in these capsules is derived from shark liver oil rather than from olives or another plant source. The Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods permits this formulation to be presented as an antioxidant that helps reduce free radical damage to body cells and supports general health, wellbeing and skin health. This bottle holds 200 soft capsules. Because the active is taken from shark liver, it is not suitable for vegans, vegetarians or anyone avoiding marine-derived ingredients.
