Calendula
Golden marigold flowers, made for your skin.
Calendula officinalis is the cheerful garden marigold, and its dried flowers go mostly into products you put on your skin. You'll also find it as a dried flower for tea or as an extract.

Is Calendula right for you?
Common questions
Is calendula the same as marigold?
Calendula is often called marigold, and its botanical name is Calendula officinalis. That's the name Australian rules use, and it's the one to look for on the pack, so you know which plant you're buying.
Is calendula regulated as a medicine in Australia?
It can be. Calendula is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines, as the dried flower, the flower powder and Calendula officinalis (items 1115 to 1117 on Australia's permitted ingredients list, Schedule 1). None of them has a dose cap or a required warning, and there's no permitted health claim on record for it.
