Casein Custard

Casein Custard is Gen-Tec Nutrition's dessert style protein powder, built on casein, the slower digesting of the two main milk proteins, and blended thick enough to eat with a spoon. It comes as the 908 g tub only, in Banana and Chocolate. A second Casein Custard listing in this catalogue covers the larger 1.81 kg tub in Banana, Caramel and Chocolate, so check the pack weight on the variant you choose. Gen-Tec has since renamed and reformulated this line as Protein Custard in a 1 kg tub, and the newer ingredient list no longer declares colostrum.

The Chocolate pack also declares cocoa at 4 per cent, and the colour used differs with the flavour, so the panel on a Banana tub will not read identically to a Chocolate one.

Suggested Use

Mix 40 g, about 2 rounded scoops, into 150 mL of cold water in a shaker, bowl or blender for a smooth, creamy, dessert style custard. Some earlier Casein Custard packs give 60 g, about 3 scoops, in 200 mL of cold water or milk, rather than the 40 g in 150 mL printed now. Follow the direction printed on the tub you receive, and do not exceed it.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep the tub sealed between uses and keep out of reach of children.

Contains milk, soy beans and their products. May contain traces of cereals containing gluten, tree nuts, sesame seeds and their products. The casein and colostrum are dairy derived, so it is not suitable for vegans, for vegetarians avoiding dairy, or for anyone with a milk allergy. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
