Suggested Use
Mix 1g (1/4 tsp) in 150mL water and consume 20 minutes before exercise. For therapeutic purposes, clinical dosing is 3-6g per day before exercise for optimal nitric oxide production.

Your body makes L-arginine and gets it from food, and here it comes as a single supplement. Look for L-arginine on the label, or a salt such as arginine HCl or AAKG.

Is L-Arginine right for you?
Common questions
Is L-arginine the same as L-citrulline?
No. They're two different amino acids, each with its own page here. They're related, which is why you'll often see them mentioned together, but one isn't a form of the other. If a label says L-citrulline or citrulline malate, you're buying citrulline, not arginine. Pick the one you actually came for, and ask us if you're not sure.
Is oral L-arginine a listed ingredient in Australia?
The only Australian listing we found for arginine (item 673) is for creams and other medicines applied to the skin. That doesn't mean oral L-arginine is banned. It's usually sold as a food-style supplement that makes no health claim, and arginine salts may be listed separately under their own names. Either way, read the label on the product you're looking at.
