Description
Food to Nourish Gluten Free Muesli Almond and Honey is an oven baked breakfast muesli of wholegrains, seeds and nuts. Organic sultanas lead the declared list, organic brown rice syrup is the second ingredient and Australian honey the eighth, with almond flakes and almonds through the mix. It is baked rather than raw, so it holds its crunch in milk. Serve it with fresh fruit and the milk of your choice, or scatter it over a smoothie bowl.
Product Strengths
- An oven baked breakfast muesli that keeps its crunch in milk.
- Organic sultanas lead the list, with almond flakes and almonds through the mix.
- Sweetened by organic brown rice syrup, the second ingredient, with Australian honey eighth on the list.
- Also works scattered over yoghurt, fruit or a smoothie bowl.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Breakfast, and topping yoghurt or fruit.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to any ingredient in this product, whose full list is printed only on the pack; anyone with a tree nut allergy, since the muesli contains almonds; anyone with a peanut allergy, since the pack states the muesli may contain traces of peanuts; infants under 12 months, because it contains honey.

Almonds
The nut, and everything made from it.
Whole and blanched for eating, meal and flour for baking, butter for spreading, milk for drinking. Which one you want depends entirely on what you're doing with it.

Is Almonds right for you?
Common questions
What's the difference between almond meal and almond flour?
Meal is usually ground with the skins left on, so it's coarser and flecked brown. Flour is normally made from blanched almonds with the skins removed, so it's finer and paler. Recipes often use the names interchangeably, and either works in most baking. Check the pack if the colour or texture of the finished thing matters to you.
Are almonds regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Almond is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines, as item 476 of the Permissible Ingredients Determination, where it's used as an excipient. But almonds sold as food — whole, meal, butter, oil or milk — sit under food standards law instead, not the medicines framework. No almond-specific permitted indication was found.
