Organic Chaga King of Mushrooms

Evolution Botanicals Organic Chaga is a certified organic chaga (Inonotus obliquus) extract powder made from 100% fruiting bodies, wild grown on white birch in the Jilin and north-west Heilongjiang provinces. The fruiting bodies go through two hot water extractions with no alcohol at any stage, and the liquid concentrate is spray dried through a patented membrane filtration process that needs no carrier, so there is no maltodextrin, starch or grain in the jar. The extract is an 8:1 native ratio standardised to more than 5% beta-glucans and is blended back with whole mushroom powder, which is why a 1.3 g teaspoon is equivalent to 4.9 g of dry mushroom. It is a dark, earthy and slightly bitter powder that dissolves in hot water in seconds, and many people drink it in place of coffee.

Suggested Use

Stir one level small culinary teaspoon, 1.3 g, into hot water, or add it to other drinks or to food. To drink it in place of coffee, put a serve in hot water, then add milk and sweeten to taste. That gives 61 serves from the 80 g jar. Sold by weight not volume, so some settling is normal.
