Description
Inner Health Eczema Shield Kids is a fine, unflavoured powder for children that pairs two named probiotic strains with microencapsulated vitamin D3. A 2 g dose carries 11 billion CFU of live probiotics and 25 micrograms (1000 IU) of colecalciferol. The formula is built around the observation that children's eczema is often accompanied by low vitamin D when sun exposure is limited, and the permitted indications on its listing are worded around that. It is sponsored in Australia by Metagenics (Aust) Pty Ltd. It comes as the 60 g tub, which is 30 daily doses.
Product Strengths
- Each 2 g dose provides 11 billion CFU of live probiotics from two fully designated strains, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BB-12.
- Helps reduce the occurrence of symptoms of eczema and dermatitis in children.
- Helps reduce the occurrence of symptoms of mild allergies in children.
- Helps relieve itchy, prickling skin associated with mild eczema and dermatitis in children when sun exposure is inadequate.
- Helps relieve skin scaling, crusty skin and skin irritation in children when sun exposure is inadequate.
- Maintains and supports skin health in children, and supports skin healing and repair when sun exposure is inadequate.
- Maintains and supports healthy immune system function in children.
- Provides colecalciferol 25 micrograms (1000 IU) in a microencapsulated form, so it disperses through the powder.
- Shelf stable: stored below 25 degrees C with no refrigeration required, at home or in transit.
- Mixes into water, juice, formula or milk, warm or cold, or sprinkles onto food, and is free from gluten, wheat, dairy, lactose, eggs and nuts.
